About the Show:

In Australia, one of the most-watched cooking reality shows is My Kitchen Rules. The show’s host and judge is none other than chef Manu Feildel, who has taken part in every season of the show.

The team behind Seven’s My Restaurant Rules produced the inaugural season of the show, which debuted in response to Network 10’s MasterChef Australia’s success. The programme regularly ranked among the highest-rated programmes on Australian television and has a lengthy history of strong ratings and performances.

It was disclosed in April 2023 that Lawson would serve as a judge again in the finals, with Fassnidge replacing Lawson as Feildel’s co-host and head judge.

Manu Feildel:

TV personality and celebrity chef Manu Feildel is Australian-French by heritage. He was born on March 26, 1974, in Nantes, France.

Feildel’s most well-known jobs in Australia are those of host and judge on several cuisine competition series. Feildel began his culinary career in France, training in multiple Michelin-starred restaurants.

He later moved to Australia, where he became well-known for his work as executive chef at Sydney’s renowned Bilson’s restaurant. Feildel’s cooking technique creates visually stunning and delectable dishes by fusing classic French techniques with a modern twist.

Colin Fassnidge:

Colin Fassnidge is an Australian-Irish chef and television personality. He was born in Dublin, Ireland. Fassnidge is well-known for his judging positions on the Australian culinary competition series “My Kitchen Rules” as well as his show, “Colin’s Ireland.”

Fassnidge’s culinary journey started in Ireland, where he was trained in Michelin-starred restaurants. He later moved to Australia, where he established himself as a well-known chef. He started his eateries and became well-known for his bold and innovative cooking techniques.

Nigella Lawson:

Nigella Lawson is an English gourmet author, television presenter, and host of cookery shows. On January 6, 1960, in London, England, she was born. Lawson is known for her warm and endearing on-screen persona in addition to her enticing and opulent culinary expertise.

Lawson’s career in the culinary arts began with her breakout cookbook, “How to Eat,” which showcased her love of simple, comforting, and delicious recipes

MKR 2025-2026 Entry Criteria:

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for a new season of the show. Ineligible candidates will be rejected by the casting authority.

  • My Kitchen Rules requires two-person teams.
  • Members of the team have to be close friends, family, partners, and so on.
  • Both team members must be at least eighteen years old.
  • The two players on the team have to be citizens or authorized residents of Australia. On the day of the audition, you have to provide identification.
  • Only one Candidate may sign on at a time. You can lose some of your answers if you log on to many computers at once.
  • No criminal past.

My Kitchen Rules Australia 2025-2026 Format:

Instant Restaurant Round:

A single team’s day of cooking is the focus of each episode; this includes putting up their “instant restaurant” and preparing a three-course dinner for the judges and the teams they are up against.

Before the judges and other teams arrived at their houses, teams had three hours to cook their dinners. Meals aren’t always made at home by participants.

Team Progress and Eliminations:

In this round, the format for team advancement and the elimination process varied.

Pre-finals Round:

The surviving teams then compete in other challenges, either off-site or at Kitchen headquarters, after the Instant Restaurant.

Finals Round:

The final round consists of three rounds: two sets of semifinals, a grand final, and a third round. In a sudden-death cook-off, teams create a three-course dinner for the four guest judges and the main judges. Each team’s supper is scored out of ten by the judges, and the team with the lowest score moves on.

Semifinals:

Before proceeding to the championship round, the last four teams compete in a semifinal round. Different clubs from different seasons were selected to play against each other in this round.

Grand final:

The grand final, the last stage of the competition, is immediately open to the winners of each semifinal. My Kitchen Rules’ winner is the team that received the highest score from each team’s dinner.

How to Apply for My Kitchen Rules MKR 2025-2026 Australia:

Interested applicants can follow the below-given process to fill out the complete application process. Incomplete application form will be rejected by the producer of the show. All details must be correct and true.

Selected applicants will be called for the personal interview and document verification process.

  • Before applying, read the instructions.
  • Videos, pictures, and other materials must all be made using this online application site.
  • You have to post a minimum of one up-to-date picture of you and your partner together. Please be prepared.
  • You ought to have close-up photos of every part of both candidates’ bodies.
  • In the video, you two should have been using the same screen. Everything you and your spouse have to say about why MKR should cast you has to be heard.
  • Kindly keep your time restriction to three minutes.
  • The maximum size of the file should be 50MB. (The following formats for videos are supported: mov, mpg, avi, and WMV).
