About the Show:
The television reality talent show Canada’s Got Talent debuted on the Citytv network on March 4, 2012. It is a part of the global Got Talent franchise.
Performers from many genres compete for a reward in this entertainment competition. The winner of the first season was awarded $100,000, a Nissan GT-R, an opportunity to play a venue in Las Vegas, an opportunity to perform at City TV’s New Year’s Eve party, and a trip to Trinidad and Tobago.
The champion of seasons two and three received a monetary award of $150,000. As stated in the third season finale, the cash prize for the fourth season will increase to $1 million.
Lindsay Ell will host, and judges Howie Mandel, Lilly Singh, Kardinal Offishall, and Trish Stratus will join her, according to a Citytv announcement in October 2021. The season ran from March 2022 until May of that same year.
The winner was vocalist Jeanick Fournier from Quebec. In March 2023, the third season debuted, with dance group Conversion emerging victorious.
Canada’s Got Talent 2025-2026 Air Date:
Canada’s Got Talent received a third renewal in May 2023, with a new season set to debut on March 19, 2024. The fourth season of Canada’s Got Talent premiered in March 2024. Canada’s Got Talent 2025-2026 Season 5 will premiere in March of that year.

Canada’s Got Talent 2025-2026 Auditions Entry Criteria:
In various Canadian cities, the auditions were conducted in front of the judges and a live audience. The judges would hit a buzzer at any point throughout the audition to indicate their displeasure with the act, lighting a giant red “X” on the stage.
- Applicants need to be at least eighteen years old.
- Underage candidates must submit commitments on behalf of their parents or legal guardians.
- Candidates must be citizens of Canada in good standing.
- Applicants need to be in good physical and mental health.
- No history of criminal activity.

Lindsay Ell:
Lindsay Elizabeth Ell is a Canadian-American country pop singer, songwriter, guitarist, and television personality. She was born in Calgary, Alberta, on March 20, 1989. Her music has elements of rock and blues.
She signed with the US record label Stoney Creek Records, which is a branch of Broken Bow Records. Since 2022, she has served as the host of the revived reality television programme Canada’s Got Talent.
August 14, 2020 saw the release of Ell’s fifth studio album, Heart Theory. It has the top songs, “Want Me Back,” “I Don’t Love You,” and “Good on You.”

It was announced in October 2021 that Ell would be hosting the second season of Canada’s Got Talent, which debuted in 2022. Alongside Priyanka, she co-hosted the 2021 Canadian Country Music Awards.

Howie Mandel:
Howard Michael Mandel is a comedian, actor, producer, and television personality who was born in Canada on November 29, 1955. Since 2022, he has judged Canada’s Got Talent on Citytv, and America’s Got Talent on NBC since 2010.
He also hosted the daytime and Canadian-English versions of Deal or No Deal, an American game show that started on NBC before moving to CNBC.
From 2013 to 2014, Mandel was the executive producer of the TBS hidden-camera series Deal with It. He co-hosted the show alongside main host Theo Von and appeared frequently.
In 2023, Mandel took part in season nine of The Masked Singer as “Rock Lobster”. As “Night Owl” on “ABBA Night” alongside Debbie Gibson, he was eliminated.
Lilly Singh:
Lilly Saini Singh, a writer, comedian, television personality, actress, and YouTuber, was born in Canada on September 26, 1988. She has received four Streamy Awards, an MTV Fandom Award, two Teen Choice Awards, a People’s Choice Award, and four Streamy Awards. Singh has received nominations for a Daytime Emmy Award and two Canadian Screen Awards.
She participated in the youth programming offered by Girl Guides of Canada. She graduates from York University in Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Be a Triangle, Singh’s latest book, was released on April 6, 2022. It was revealed that Singh will host Battle of the Generations, a new primetime quiz programme on CTV, in October 2022. On June 19, 2023, the programme made its debut. Singh co-hosted the preshow for the 95th Academy Awards.
Trish Stratus:
Patricia Anne Stratigeas is a Canadian professional wrestler, actress, and yoga instructor. She was born on December 18, 1975. Most people refer to her by her ring name, Trish Stratus.
Stratus, who is regarded as the greatest female wrestler in promotion history, held the championship for 448 days, the longest tenure of any women’s champion in the twenty-first century.
She used to own a yoga studio and has hosted several TV shows and award shows. Stratus joined the Canada’s Got Talent judging panel in 2022.
On May 15, 2023, Stratus was given the key to Niagara Falls by Mayor Jim Diodati. Since March 2021, Stratus has served as a judge on Canada’s Got Talent, where she has been on stage with Howie Mandel, Lilly Singh, and Kardinal Offishall.
Kardinal Offishall:
On May 11, 1976, Canadian rapper Jason Drew Harrow—better known by his stage name, Kardinal Offishall—was born. Harrow, a native of Toronto, began his career in the mid-1990s underground hip-hop scene of his home city. He created the hip-hop ensemble The Circle.
His 2010 single “Body Bounce” (with Akon) was certified platinum and peaked within the top 20 of the charts, despite his departure from KonLive later that year.
In April 2021, Harrow received a promotion to senior vice president of A&R at Universal Music Canada. The news that he would be a judge on Canada’s Got Talent for its second season, which debuted in 2022, broke in October 2021.
