Jon Montgomery:
Born in Russell, Manitoba on May 6, 1979, Jonathan Riley “Jon” Montgomery is a Canadian skeleton racer and TV personality. In the men’s skeleton competition at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, he took home the gold medal.
During the summer of 2010, Montgomery and a few friends shot the Discovery Channel Canada television show Best Trip Ever, which followed their adventures in a variety of summertime adventure activities. On November 27, 2010, the special was broadcast.
Montgomery participated in a Quickfire Challenge as a judge on the fifteenth episode of Top Chef: Texas in 2011.
The announcement that Montgomery will host The Amazing Race Canada on CTV was made on June 5, 2013. He has hosted every one of the show’s nine seasons as of September 2023.
