Overview:
For the upcoming season, Celebrity Treasure Island is returning to its origins in more ways than one: it’s returning to Fiji, the place where the show first debuted, and it’s bringing back famous stars from previous seasons.
While Cyclone Gabrielle was affecting the North Island in the summer of 2023, the reality television programme Treasure Island in New Zealand began filming in Wānaka, Te Waipounamu/South Island.
Celebrity Treasure Island NZ 2025-2026 Air Dates:
The previous season, hosted by Bree Tomasel and Jayden Daniels, debuted on September 18, 2023, and ran every week from Monday through Wednesday at 7:30 PM on TVNZ 2 and TVNZ+.

Celebrity Treasure Island NZ 2025-2026 Host:
Bree Tomasel:
Our very own Bree Tomasel will be one of the hosts of TVNZ’s popular local series Celebrity Treasure Island, which is returning this winter to gorgeous Fiji!
Bree and Matt Chisholm, the host of Survivor New Zealand and Sunday reporter, are collaborating to head the show. They will devise tasks, test team dynamics, and disclose unexpected eliminations for the marooned celebrities vying for the grand prize.
Bree is a first-time television presenter on Celebrity Treasure Island, but she has years of experience hosting radio shows in Australia and New Zealand, and she has a sizable online fan base for her humorous social media videos. Matt is qualified for the job, having recorded two extensive seasons of Survivor New Zealand in Thailand and Nicaragua.

Jayden Daniels:
After graduating from New Zealand Drama School, Jayden Daniels gained fame throughout the world for his significant performance in the US horror film “Evil Dead Rise,” directed by Lee Cronin.
He starred in two seasons of Netflix’s “The Legend of the Monkey,” the NZ feature film “Whina,” and the TV series “Head High,” for which he won the Best Actor Award at the NZTV Awards. ” Apart from his achievements, he gained widespread recognition in New Zealand during his five-year stint on the well-liked medical drama series “Shortland Street.”

Wānaka, New Zealand:
Situated in the Otago region of New Zealand’s South Island, Wānaka is a well-known resort town for summer and ski enthusiasts. The entrance to Mount Aspiring National Park is located near the southernmost point of Lake Wānaka, marking the beginning of the Clutha River.
The main purpose of Wānaka is to serve as a summer and winter resort town. The numerous outdoor opportunities this provides are the foundation of its economy
In the past, Māori would travel to the Wānaka region in search of pounamu (greenstone) on the West Coast, or they would come here to hunt and fish during the summer. Ngāi Tahu left their seasonal settlements in 1836 following a raid by a war group from the North Island.

Who wins Celebrity Treasure Island 2025-2026:
James Mustapic, Courtney Dawson, and Turia Schmidt-Peke are competing for the $100,000 cash prize. The most well-known role of Māori-Samoan actress Schmidt-Peke is Steph from Shortland Street.
James Mustapic is the Celebrity Treasure Island 2023 season winner as of October 25, 2023. The comedian took home the $100,000 Golden Award for Gender Minorities Aotearoa, his charity.
