About the Show:
The Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) in Australia airs the game show Mastermind. The programme, which is produced by BBC Studios, is based on Bill Wright’s original British game show of the same name.

The show has a tense atmosphere with difficult questions on the contestant’s choice of specialized subjects, followed by a general knowledge round. The first two seasons of the show, which will be hosted by Jennifer Byrne, were initially revealed in March 2019.
Marc Fennell briefly took over as host of the programme for around two weeks when Byrne fell and suffered injuries to her wrist and face. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the second season’s championships were postponed by nearly a year, resuming in February 2021.
The third season of the programme began that same month, and Fennell took over as host.

Marc Fennell:
An Australian journalist, television host, radio host, and author with the name of Marc Fennell. Fennell co-anchored The Feed and hosted the shows Mastermind, Stuff The British Stole, and Fennell.
Fennell won the first AFI Young Film Critics Competition in 2002. From 2003 to 2006, he worked as a reporter and cinema critic for Sydney radio station FBi Radio.
Along with Nick Hayden and Nicholas McDougall, he co-produced the web series Coming Sooner, which examines movie trailers. Fennell took over hosting duties for Jennifer Byrne on the Australian version of Mastermind in 2021.
